School Vision Statement Saint Therese School is committed to developing principled, well-rounded leaders. With an involved pastor and staff, the church is the physical and spiritual center of daily life. Small class sizes promote a family atmosphere with an emphasis on individual attention. A traditional approach is balanced with modern technologies and a strong academic foundation.
Mission Statement The community of Saint Therese parish is committed to quality Catholic elementary education. The teachers, staff and parents work as a team to provide a safe structured and Christian learning environment. St. Therese School strives to incorporate traditional teaching values of the Catholic Church and a modern, comprehensive curriculum into the education of each student by utilizing the experiences of the past and expectations for the future. This fosters a multifaceted education that enriches each student. The goal is to help develop each child into an independent, thinking individual who respects self. others and God.
Philosophy Statement The staff and parents of St. Therese School strive to educate the leaders of tomorrow guided by the teachings of Christ and his Church. St. Therese School uses traditional teaching methods, modern technology and innovative educational opportunities as tools. There is a commitment to each student as an individual. St. Therese School fosters the development of young people into thoughtful, compassionate adults as well as capable, qualified leaders.
THEREFORE WE AIM TO: Recognize and protect each child's God-given uniqueness and dignity.
Foster and assist in developing each child's gifts and talents.
Augment the moral, spiritual and ethical sensitivity and character of each child.
Guide children to recognize their basic responsibilities to 'God, creation, themselves and others.
Encourage children to become responsible citizens of school, church, state, nation and the world.
Create the realization in each child that the ultimate goal should be full unity with God. BY: Offering a curriculum that provides each child with instruction and training that is sequential and developmental in all areas of endeavor.
Fostering a positive climate in which all are treated respectfully, are supported by one another and are recognized for individual achievements, efforts and talents.
Providing opportunities for the students to apply their individual achievements, efforts and talent for the good of themselves, God and others.
Establishing rules and procedures that create a safe and secure environment in which to learn.
Assisting in faith development through liturgical and prayer services, classroom instruction and the presence of a strong faith community within the staff and parish.
Encouraging students to become active members in the church and community by participating in liturgical functions, supporting service projects and exercising their leadership skills for the good of others.
Acknowledging Christ's presence in all creation through worship of God, stewardship of the earth's resources and respect for self and others.
Interpreting the social and political events of our world and time in light of the church's social teachings.
